While there’s certainly competition in the consumer fintech space, forward-thinking group Filinvest, represented by their startup arm f(dev), sought to embrace B2B payment fulfilment. They partnered with White Widget to build the best-in-class modern payments fulfilment platform for enterprise companies. Instead of launching publicly outright, it was designed so that their internal businesses would be the first to utilise the solution, so they were their own first customer. This was a feat that only a company like theirs, with its portfolio of holdings across multiple industries, could muster.

Featuring elegant UX and branding, integration that could handle a bevy of payment methods, and advanced invoice and company team management, Fastwire was built to schedule in less than 8 months. It featured the ability to set up invoice templates with customised templates, work with banks and credit cards, and manage access privileges and sign-off workflows for the teams. It also had a lot of features unique to the B2B space: handling the importing of invoices in bulk, audit logs for team member activities on the platform and an enterprise-ready security-first web application architecture.

Emma, a wildly successful international mattress brand, was already ahead of the pack in Europe. However, the US was still a competitive arena, so they wanted to make a big splash with their online Black Friday campaign. They entrusted White Widget to rebuild their Shopify website with a dreamily comfortable look, while working within the bounds of their brand’s visual identity.

The site had to be clean, simple, performant, and had to be built in record time. Not to mention we had to outdo the competition; all our competitor sites were selling sheer bed quality and even a sporty fitness aspect, but Emma’s main unique proposition was that it represented the highest value of all: better sleep. Because of that, the site had to both show the bed as a beautiful addition to the home, but also really define the virtues of the mattress’ superior technology.

One of the biggest challenges in the ride hailing space is that operators like Grab want to create their own vibrant online community, while still being able to turn chat messages into actionable issues. That gap in helpdesk management caused thousands of hours of wasted time for moderators, and countless uncaught pain points from drivers - and normal chat apps could not deliver a solution. That’s the problem we looked at solving when working with the innovative team at Grab.

Grab is Southeast Asia’s largest tech startup, with a market capitalization of $10 billion as of 2022. When they needed to transform their internal communications, they tapped White Widget to create a new type of platform that would help them build camaraderie between their drivers while enabling their moderators to still manage their fleets.

TryBooking is an online event ticketing and registration platform that was developed by an Australian company of the same name. The platform allows event organizers to easily create and manage their events, sell tickets online, and track attendance. TryBooking was founded in 2007 and has since grown to become one of the leading event ticketing platforms in Australia and the UK, with a user base of over 30,000 organizations.

From a website development perspective, TryBooking's website is designed to be user-friendly and intuitive, with a clean and modern interface that makes it easy for event organizers to navigate and find the information they need. The site is also optimized for mobile devices, ensuring that users can access the platform and manage their events from anywhere. Additionally, TryBooking has invested in advanced security features to protect both event organizers and ticket buyers, such as SSL encryption and fraud detection systems.

It’s not every day that we are asked to develop the official app for a powerhouse music legend like Bob Dylan. Every single line of code we wrote had a layer of tension baked in, as this was the first software ever written solely for this artist. For the uninitiated, Bob Dylan has won over eight Grammy awards and the Nobel Prize for Literature, and was notoriously analog in his choice of mediums, until now.

Working in partnership with the fantastic multimedia team at rGenerator, White Widget’s team developed an interactive app that reached No. 1 in the App Store in 19 countries, that was featured in USA Today, Billboard and The Guardian’s list of Best Apps. Winning awards like the Clio, and nominated for a Webby, it was truly groundbreaking in the digital music world, as it was one of the first apps that leveraged AI based on what tracks were recognised in the user’s iTunes music library.
